Alma College
Alma College students report levels of educational experiences and faculty interaction that exceed the national norm by a significant amount, according to the 2007 National Survey of Student Engagement. Of only 240 institutions nationwide, Alma College has been included in the Colleges of Distinction Guidebook. There are 13 students for every one faculty member and with an average class size of 19, the educational experience that is challenging and extremely personal.
Over 90% of students take part in community service learning activities and about 80% of students find employment or enter graduate or professional schools within six months of graduation. Since 2006, Alma College has a 90% placement rate in medical school (compared to the national average of 46.6%) and 87% placement rate in law school. Alma College is in the 10% of US colleges and universities to hold membership in the nation��� Honor Society, The Phi Beta Kappa Society. The College also has 18 other national departmental honor societies.
