About Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate
At QE, we are proud of our school history and value the traditions that have served us so well in the past. Students and parents are in awe of our impressive state of the art facilities set within the idyllic 250-acre Thorpe Underwood estate on entering the school campus.
The Collegiate is uniquely made up of four smaller schools, designed to maintain a nurturing family atmosphere while still offering some individuality for each school section.
Each has its Head and staff team, allowing our staff to know their students thoroughly and form outstanding teacher relationships based on mutual respect and unwavering support. In this way, the
staff can successfully guide and nurture students through each stage of their formative years.
Our achievements are a testament to our vision and recognised as one of the top schools worldwide in all endeavours. This is demonstrated by our outstanding academic results and impressive list of top university destinations, including Oxbridge.
A large majority of our Year 13 students go to Russell Group Universities each year. We understand the importance of developing the whole student by offering a vast array of opportunities through our extensive enrichment programmes that are designed to recognise individual skills and aspirations.
