Over 200 undergraduate, 54 masters, and 17 doctoral programs are offered. Current enrollment at BGSU is approximately 20,000 students. There are approximately 1,000 international students at BGSU, representing approximately 80 countries.
BGSU has many nationally ranked programs including the College of Business (ranked in the Top 5 percent according to Bloomberg News), Industrial/Organizational Psychology (#3 in the U.S.), Biology, Education, English, Physical Therapy, Sport Administration, Sociology, and Criminal Justice. Also offered are some unique programs including pop culture (only program in the U.S.), American Culture Studies, and Aviation Studies (with an airport located on campus).
Incoming freshman students may be eligible for the BG Freshman Academic Scholarship worth $1,000 to $8,000 per year. The scholarship is awarded based upon a student having at least a 3.0 GPA and submitting a qualifying SAT (minimum 1020) or ACT (minimum 20) score or a qualifying TOEFL (minimum 71) or IELTS (minimum 6.0) score.
All admitted undergraduate students will receive the BG Success Scholarship worth $4,000 per year. Neither scholarship requires a separate application and both scholarships are renewable for up to 4 years as long as a 3.0 GPA is maintained while studying at BGSU.
Students admitted for the Fall 2018 and beyond are also eligible for the Falcon Tuition Guarantee. This guarantee means that their tuition will not go up during their four years of study at BGSU.
Bowling Green State University helps our students achieve success during their studies and after they graduate. The Falcon Internship Guarantee gives undergraduate students who complete the preparation program the opportunity for an internship or experiential learning opportunity associated with their major. 97 percent of BGSU graduates report they are employed, in graduate school, or starting a business within 6 months of graduation.
